THE AMULET GRAPHIC NOVEL STEP BY STEP
Here's a stage-by-stage guide to how The Amulet of Samarkand graphic novel was created over 18 months.
1. Lee, Andrew and I discuss the book and the characters. Lee draws up some preliminary character sketches.

2. Andrew begins to write the adaptation, taking dialogue and description from the original novel.
His script reads like a film script, and describes everything we're going to see in each panel.
